The Criminal Justice program at Ohio University is designed to build upon two-year degree programs in the criminal justice field. If you are a local graduate of a technical or community college or a student currently enrolled in an appropriate associate's degree program, this bachelor's degree provides the opportunity to broaden your education in criminal justice.
The guiding premise of the program is that the criminal justice system in America can be improved by providing a high-quality, liberal education to career-minded men and women. Upon graduation, you will have the opportunity for employment in law enforcement agencies, government agencies, and juristic and correctional agencies on the local, state, and federal levels, or in the private sector.
Since a bachelor's degree is rapidly becoming a minimum requirement for employment in this field, your chances for employment and advancement are strengthened greatly by this program.
